Based on the number of
"hits", we'll know how many auditioners have checked this blog, and by
implication, have read and understood the following information:
* The Lincoln policy has been that without a contract, you will not
be cast. However, with so many auditioners, we will need additional
time to collect actor contracts. Thus, we are moving forward with the
assumption that if your contract is still missing
(see separate blog post; if your name is missing, your contract is
missing), the casting will be temporary with full belief that
parent/guardian/important adult permission has been granted until such
time that it's not.
* Contracts will be collected at the MANDATORY rehearsal on MON. DEC. 14, 2015. Get them signed now. Bring them Monday.
* All students MUST be passing all classes. If you are not passing,
you will email your respective site's theatre teacher (Jim--Lincoln;
Jo--Roosevelt) with your plan by Monday, December 14.
* Many individuals will be cast, but some will not for a variety of
reasons. Also, we may make some casting adjustments during the
rehearsal process as needed for a variety of reasons. No, you will not
be privy to those reasons for someone else nor do
guessing/rumors make for "saving the drama for the stage". Understand
that as the directors, it is part of our professional work to make the
best choices we can.
* Understand that with two different schools and directors, we are
doing our best to merge two sets of policies about productions into one
co-production. Sometimes we will make mistakes, too, and will do our
best to correct them.
* We all need patience and understanding as we come together for
the love of theatre and being with "our people" in a safe space where we
take risks, challenge ourselves to be our best, and get out of our
comfort zones.
Thank you for auditioning! Casting is almost complete and will be
posted Sunday. We are ALL excited about this co-production coming
together in the next several months of hard work and dedication. That
said, it will take both hard work and dedication,
as well as concentrated cooperation on all of our parts to make it
happen. We look forward to working on this show together!
Jo & Jim
