ACT ONE 7:10-8:00 P.M.

--Sonny: bag lunch?

--Sandy: knees together when sitting at cafeteria table

--Danny/Sonny head push—ask me how so it looks right

--Sandy: “Danny Zuko?” don’t look SR; relate to the ladies SL

--Jan/Danny: lunch bag needs weight so it’ll fly and not sound like an empty bag

--Doody: don’t take too long one chord to the next

--Doody: keep guitar until after lights change/CCCC etc. then transform into rock star with ladies chorus singing CCCC etc. as guitar “disappears” from your hands

--Doody: missed opportunity to sing to actual audience members! You have time. It’s built into the song. Made it so that you got on stage too soon. You are supposed still to be in the HOUSE RIGHT on Ai-yai-yai BEFORE you go back onto the stage.

--Doody: you repeat the same final pose so that Kenickie can hand you your guitar and transform back to reality

--Ask Jo to watch inspiration video; methinks it’ll help

--Rizzo: careful with how much bedspread is showing; just enough to get to the wine bottle

--Lines, lines, lines

--Pre-set robe so sleeves make it easy to put on

--Ladies: Come to Marty to see the ring; don’t make her work US to show you otherwise her back is to the audience

--Marty: throw pillows up, not out, if you can (thanks Frenchy/Jan for getting it)

--Doody: cheat out ¼ not profile; share with the audience

--Roger: posture; does your stomach hurt?

--Sandy: Red ribbon? Doesn’t match gold/black cheer outfit; do you have time (or a ribbon) to change it for that scene? If not, maybe no ribbon?

--I like the interplay between Patty/Sandy during Fight Song; I’d like that applied to both casts

--Sandy: If you drop your pompon, pick it up during the scene itself. It’s what your character would do in that moment.

--Need a bag for lunch so you can put sandwich inside

--I like the hug at the end of “Mooning”

--Jan/Roger: You must take Coke/sandwich with you; it’s in the way

ACT TWO 8:10-9:00

2.1

--Jan actually lead the dance to justify the line “I’m used to leading”

--Kenickie: be careful not to cover Jan’s line about getting punch

--Cha-Cha: Do you want to dance with Danny Zuko? Show us

--Ms. L: missed cocoanuts line; make sure to let it happen

--VF: Win or lose, dancing shoes—take your time to emphasize this line (it’s on the t-shirts)

--Ms. L: you may not be able to X mid-House to get people out for Hand Jive; use aisles

--Cha-Cha/Danny: Lift?

--Johnny Casino: What’s your end pose of Hand Jive?

--I have candy cigarettes for Danny in the race; is there a place to put them in shorts?

--Purple wig—YES

--Frenchy—look at newspaper/Teen Angel/newspaper/TA as you are debating

--Wait to remove any headdresses until you are offstage

--Roger: why was your jacket ½ on?  Looks awkward

--Danny: don’t have arm up at top of scene; wait until you stretch and try to put your arm around her

--Danny: too long trying to get ring off first time; use grease in hair—part of the joke

--Anyone near car: careful of the “windows”

--Finn: you need to go to the end of the upper platform every time when the back up singers enter to make room for everyone behind you

--Ben: one arm at end “good as you”

--Finn: thank you for closing the doors!

--Sandy: knees together when sitting on stairs

--Jan: tell another T-bird not Sandy; she wouldn’t share the rumor??

--Pick up the pace a little

--Sandy: pants showing; is there another way to hide those?

--Sandy—sudden sit; take a moment & sit a little slower

--Sandy: better end moment

--Doody: instead of hanging jacket over shoulders, hold on one finger behind one shoulder

--Danny: entrance too soon

--Need to be a little quicker with when slap happens otherwise isn’t motivated

--T-birds: you may need to help each other into PL jackets

--Danny: lower register?

GENERAL

--Fri. snacks/Sat. snacks in between shows

--Does the band want dress ‘50s?

--Reminder: Both casts should be doing fight call, even if it’s not your performance week; ensures safety and muscle memory

* REITERATE Curtain call adjustment: Gesture to orchestra; Crew SL; Crew Balcony; Crew HL (That’s House Left, i.e. the booth with light/sound); NO gesture to SR

--Overall just needs to tighten up transitions/telescope lines

CREW

Act One

--Molly: no jacket please, only white tee

--Remaining crew: white tee, jeans, ked-like shoes (still had crew in other attire)

--Curtain speech: need to rehearse timing

--Once wagon is in place, quick exit SR! Looks like you are sauntering

--Why is Molly the only crew doing the 1.7 transition from picnic to “We Go Tog.”? Awkward

Act Two

--Top of Act Two will be another curtain speech with winners of two tickets to Twilight Theater Company

--Top of Act Two has to be quicker (after winner announcement). Once House is out, immediately and simultaneously should be lights up as curtain opens as band starts; even 2 seconds is too long for the audience and it was closer to 10 seconds which slows down the pace

--Mics need to be ON for 2.1; missed T-birds lines and some of Cha-Cha (when with Eugene—use his mic) so audience didn’t know where to look and can’t hear over the band even if they are quieter

--Drive-in doors (top of scene 2.3): if you open them and aren’t going to close them, then exit; otherwise if you stand there, you should close them and exit; decide and be consistent

--Drive-in doors (bottom of scene 2.3): who closes them? They were left open & Sonny had to close them

MORE NOTES!

Rizzo's hair does not look period.

Frenchy:  don't get ahead on SN when girls do the "ballet arms"

Doody:  relate to audience members when you go into the audience, and look more happy to be interacting with the ladies on stage.

Sound:  is there anything we can do to make the voice overs more understandable ?

Sandy:  you should not have earrings on, since there's a line asking if you've ever worn them.

What happened to the hood ornament on Greased Lightening? (Should be there)

Doody:  keep your focus off the floor on GL.

Roger:  don't pretend to drink the soda since you won't be able to open it .

Sonny:  take a little more time on your dance solo til you exit

Where was Coltrane for "Shakin' ATHSH"?

Hard to understand most dialogue during the dance.  Are actors projecting/articulating as if the don't have a mic?

Vince needs to talk into Marty's mic to be heard.

I can't understand what Johnny casino is saying as he sings

We should have some of the dancers dancing to the last minute before the dance solo for Danny and Cha Cha.

Danny and Cha Cha:  did you practice your dance break before the show?  This should happen every night before the show.

I can barely hear Sandy on HD unless she was belting in her upper register.

We could use more projection of the background voices for beauty school dropout on the top

BSD:  it looked like we were missing several girls, but I only know of two who would not be here tonight. 

Ladies on the "bridge" don't forget to be in place on time for your head wags in your totem pole
